Overview

Constantine Metal Resources Ltd. (CVE:CEM)  is a junior exploration company, with a focus on precious metals and polymetallics. The company has a 100% interest in two key properties, the Palmer Project in southeast Alaska, and the Croesus Project near Timmins, Ontario. Both properties are located in historically prolific areas. In early June drilling began at the Palmer property, a copper-zinc-gold-silver-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project.

Investment Highlights

  • Palmer Project – new discovery in world-class VMS Belt.
  • Palmer Project good infrastructure – 60km to deep sea port, accessible by highway.
  • Croesus project located in historically prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

The Palmer Project is one of the newest volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) discoveries. VMS deposits are known for their high mineral content, predominantly copper and zinc, as well as gold, silver, and various other ores. The Palmer Project is located in a region known for its VMS deposits, most notably the 297 million tonne Windy Craggy, the world’s fourth largest VMS deposit, and the Greens Creek VMS deposit, known for its prolific silver production.

Constantine began drilling at the 64 square kilometer project in early June. The project has a 4.12 million tonne inferred resource grading 2.01% copper, 4.79%zinc, 0.30 gram per tonne (g/t) gold and 31 g/t silver. Initial plans are for 7,500 meters of drilling in approximately 20 holes.

Constantine Metals has 100% ownership of the Croesus Project, a past producing gold mine (1915-1933) known to have produced some of the highest grade gold in Canada. The Royal Ontario Museum is in possession of five gold samples taken from the mine that collectively weigh 85 pounds, and contain 480.7 ounces of gold or 11,310 oz of gold per short ton (387,727 g/tonne). The project is located in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, which is one of the largest greenstone belts in the world. Greenstone is recognized as being a geological body where large gold, silver, copper, zinc, and other minerals and ore deposits are found.

The project consists of 22 patented mining claims and leases spread across 416 hectares. The property is well situated in a region known as the Porcupine-Destor Deformation zone, 75 kilometers east of Timmins, Ontario. Drilling conducted on the property in 2008 and 2009 confirms key alteration and gold-bearing veins below mine workings.
