China may encourage zinc concentrate imports
Chinese government may encourage import of zinc concentrate to fill the gap left by troubled Chinese mines due to tough market conditions.
Analyst Hu Yongda, from Antaike Information, was quoted as saying:
Though some of these zinc smelters own their own zinc mines, domestic zinc concentrate supply cannot meet the combined production capacity of these big smelters.
