Lundin Mining Corporation posted its unaudited net earnings, before impairment charges and related taxes, of $2.1 mn for the third quarter of 2008.

Phil Wright, President and CEO, Lundin Mining Corporation, said:

Prices have fallen sharply in the quarter. The price decline and commensurate price adjustments in the quarter, account for a difference in operating earnings from last year of $135 million.
